We glad to report that close to 60 applications have been received during the open call for proposal within the Academic Event of the fifth Belgrade Security Forum. In the close competition 12 papers have been selected to be presented at this year’s event. Criteria for selection focused on bringing out the most challenging, innovative and policy oriented ideas.

Belgrade Security Forum 2015 will traditionally begin with the Academic Event on Wednesday, September 30.

This year’s Academic Event with the overall topic “Does the EU need a Foreign Policy?” will seek new answers to the old questions of redefining EU foreign policy in the light of crises on the Continent and in the neighborhood.

Selected papers will be presented at three panels of the Forum. The first panel will focus on Rethinking EU's Foreign Policy, the second on relations between EU and the Post-Soviet Space and third panel will discuss relations between EU and Western Balkans Countries.

Selected papers will be published in Journal of Regional Security after the conference.

We invite you to  regularly check Agenda of the Academic event for updates.
